Adventures with Lyusya Across Eight Countries

Continuing the hit parade of stories about Lyusya!

🧡 My husband didn’t immediately understand the difference in dog breeds. One day, while in Brussels, he texted me that he met a guy with the same breed of dog. I was shocked, but then I saw the photo. What amused me the most was how excited he was about it, so much so that he managed to take a selfie with the stranger and his dog like they were old friends. I even included that picture in my 2024 album.

🧡 There was a time when Lyusya amazed us and the entire hiking group by easily conquering a six-hour hike up Mount Aragats, the highest peak in Armenia at 4,090 meters.

🧡 I specifically chose a dog under 6 kg so that I could travel extensively with her around Russia. As a result, Lyusya has been to eight countries: Turkey, the UAE, Armenia, Spain, Belgium, Latvia, France, and the UK. I might also count Scotland separately, as the locals would appreciate that!

🧡 Like any self-respecting Moscow lady, Lyusya has already had a cosmetic surgery—blepharoplasty. Just kidding! She actually had that surgery for health reasons.

🧡 Last year, Lyusya received a blessing at a church in St. Albans. If you happened to miss that story, I wrote about it before!

🧡 In all five years of her life, I’ve never encountered another dog like her on the streets of any country. I had no idea I was bringing home such a rare and unpopular breed.
