Dinner Delights with Foreign Colleagues
Today, we're hosting a dinner for my husband's colleagues. We're excited to meet their new French coworker who has come from Paris for a couple of days.
We're planning to prepare duck from M&S! Serge has actually mastered the recipe better than I have; it turns out amazing in our air fryer—just 15 minutes!
For a side dish, I'm roasting some purple potatoes. They're so rare that I had completely forgotten about them until I spotted them this morning at the vegetable store. They're also known as vitelotte. I love how striking they are! It’s just a potato, but the way it looks makes all the difference.
This will be our first real dinner at home with foreign colleagues; up until now, we've only gathered for beer and snacks.
In line with modern European norms, we asked all our guests if they had any allergies and if the main dish was suitable for everyone. We made sure to check!
And if anyone has allergies or something doesn’t fit... well, it's time to pack up! Just kidding!
