Effective Email Strategies for Positive Responses
...and the results it has brought
UPDATE: Statistics from 12 emails sent, not 14, because the first two were sent without a tracker and remain unanswered for now.
💞 In the end, over two weeks, I sent out 14 emails, and 10 out of 12 were opened. Just knowing that your emails reached their destination and were opened is incredibly uplifting! Before this, sending emails and receiving no responses drained all my energy.
💞 Here’s a surprising fact—more than half of the emails (7 out of 12) were opened within the first 15 minutes! Two more were opened within the hour.
💞 The click rate for links is 36%, with the most clicks coming from my LinkedIn signature.
💞 I received responses from two agencies where I mentioned my former founder's name. Warm contacts really make a difference; they emphasized it in their replies—“please pass my best to ***, many thanks to *** for the introduction.” In both cases, I'm waiting for updates, as others from their teams are supposed to reach out.
💞 With the third agency (without mentioning a name), we already scheduled a call for next week. The CEO mentioned that they aren't hiring right now and that times are tough, but he still wanted to have a conversation with me.
💞 I haven't received a response from the fourth agency yet, but a representative connected with me on LinkedIn (I include my profile in my signature, and it's actively being clicked).
💞 Mailsuite indicates that my resume and portfolio have been actively reviewed at the fifth agency for several days.
I'm really pleased with the initial results. For now, I don't feel the need to reach out to anyone else until the end of the year. I’ll focus on those who have connected with me and follow up with those who haven’t replied!
*I wrote about my approach and tools in my previous post.
