A Day in Brighton
Here are a few spots to enjoy a leisurely day in the city.
📍 Truffle World
Right from the train station, we popped into this truffle shop! They offer everything truffle-related—cheeses, sauces, oils, candies, and honey. At home, we now have this cheese-truffle sprinkle that tastes like a blend of salt, cheese, and truffle. It’s perfect with eggs in the morning!
We were lured in by the truffles in the display window. Turns out they weren’t real, but the marketing certainly worked!
📍 Dog Friendly Beach
From May to September, many beaches in the UK close to dogs, so this spot is a pet-friendly location, right across from a café mentioned in the area.
Last Sunday wasn’t too hot, and there were some waves, so we just enjoyed the fresh sea air. But my husband had the courage to take a dip!
📍 Regency Seafood Restaurant
We had lunch on the patio, and it was delicious! However, the oysters from Whitstable are hard to beat. We didn’t get to sit where we initially wanted, so I highly recommend checking out Riddle & Finns for a view of the English Channel. Dogs are allowed on the patio, but it was quite busy.
📍 Be Chocolat
Next, we went in search of dessert—chocolate ice cream! All four of us agreed that it didn’t taste like the regular chocolate ice cream we’re used to. The texture is just right, and the flavor is pure chocolate.
I found the list of locations amusing. Bali, Barcelona, and Brighton. Guess the next destination should be Balashikha?
📍 Komodo Coffee
After a hearty lunch and that rich chocolate dessert, a filter coffee was just perfect. I regret not buying some beans to take home; it seemed like they had some unique roasts. And they even had Typica!
📍 Royal Pavilion Gardens
Don’t forget a blanket because we’ll take our coffee to enjoy in this beautiful garden with a view of the Royal Pavilion of Prince Regent George IV—one of Queen Charlotte's 15 sons. We’re gearing up for the new season of Bridgerton! 💅
