Exploring Coffee Adventures Across Cities
I have another amusing highlight from the past year: my husband and I drank a whopping 17 packs of coffee!
And we only started in April!
As I was transporting my manual coffee grinder from Moscow to London, I briefly thought, “Why bother? It will just gather dust for years again.”
But not only can I no longer imagine my day without my pour-over setup, I’ve even managed to get my husband on board, who used to drink his coffee only with milk and sugar.
Over the year, I’ve built quite the coffee map:
💙 London, Portleven, Cardiff, Glasgow, Edinburgh
💙 Amsterdam
💙 Barcelona
💙 Belgrade
💙 Buenos Aires
I've also realized that coffee is the best souvenir from my travels because you experience it twice. You buy a pack, and then you get to brew it at home!
My love for coffee primarily comes from friends who once owned a coffee shop in Moscow.
For a long time, I didn’t appreciate filter coffee, but thanks to my friend, who is now the head barista in Amsterdam, I've changed my mind. She and her colleague launched a coffee community called wiel.coffee, where they host various group and private lectures, cuppings, and more.
I attended one of their sessions, and I loved it! You sip the coffee, and then suddenly, you really understand what it's all about!
P.S. The "audience favorite" award for packaging goes to the roasters from Edinburgh. I now keep buckwheat in that tin!
