Exploring London: Trees, Tennis, and Treasures

Weekly News

๐Ÿ’ž Just the other day, I shared about this unusual tree (Chilean monkey puzzle tree), and guess what? We came across a real, living one in East Finchley, right next to the cemetery.

๐Ÿ’ž After I posted about apartments, a follower reached out to me privately and mentioned that they viewed one apartment a year and a half ago, only to discover a huge mold patch in one of the closets. Right after the viewing, she developed terrible allergies. I remember that closet! We noticed it was damp, so it was no surprise when mold followed. It's clear why that apartment remains unoccupied.

๐Ÿ’ž I won my first match in the Islington women's tennis league! My opponent was just starting out. She was a really funny American from Texas with a Greek name and roots. She said, "I usually donโ€™t admit right away that Iโ€™m from Texas, because people always bombard me with questions like if I rode a horse to school!" ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ’ž There are so many antique shops in Angel, and we got lost in one for nearly 40 minutes. It was filled with purely paper treasuresโ€”maps, postcards, letters, clippings from newspapers and magazines. We even found Lucy among some century-old cigarette inserts! Sheโ€™s the third one from the top.

๐Ÿ’ž My husband finally got a bike! Having our own here is much more convenient than relying on rentals. I'll share more details about cycling life in London soon.
