Facing Rejection After Job Application Efforts

I just received a rejection for the Marketing Trainee position, which required me to submit a video introduction along with my CV and a test assignment. I also included my own portfolio.

To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I spent two days working on this application. In the test assignment, I deliberately went above and beyond what was required, thinking it would help me stand out. I was 90% confident that I would be invited to the next stage.

What stings even more is the typical rejection email I received, saying they were "unable to provide feedback" from an address that I can't even reply to. It’s frustrating because if I had just submitted a generic resume written by ChatGPT, it wouldn't hurt as much. But when you put so much effort into something... it feels different.

I think I'll vent my frustrations on Glassdoor and leave a review about the interview process. It turns out I'm not alone in feeling let down by their procedures.

And yes, I'm sending all my bad vibes to the entire recruiting team! 💩
