Pet Blessing

Continuing the story! We were passing by St. Albans Cathedral and decided to go inside, and it turned out that in 20 minutes, there would be a blessing of animals. Fate, right?

I knew it would be great, but I didn’t expect it to be so touching and wonderful!!

Each priest came with their pet—most men brought dogs, while one woman had a cat in a carrier.

Some of the priests sang a hymn, while others read excerpts about Noah's Ark from a book by Tom Wright. One even showcased tricks with his dogs! Then it came time for the actual blessing, and at the end, we all sang "All Things Bright and Beautiful."

I highly recommend attending this event, even if you don't own a pet. It's an extraordinary feeling to be among so many people united by their love for animals.

At the end, everyone was invited for individual blessings if they wished. In the final photo, you can see Lucy receiving hers. 🥹
