Homebound Moments: Healing and Hobbies

Weekly Update

I've been under the weather for the whole week, staying at home practically without any outings, but there were still a few interesting moments!

🤍 Do you remember back in April when I rescued an orchid from someone else's trash? Look at how beautiful it has become! It even has a flower spike now, and I can't wait to find out what color the blooms will be!

🤍 Being homebound this week, I ended up giving a lot of attention to my plants. I repotted three struggling ones, polished all the leaves with a special solution, rearranged their setup, and even bought a thermometer to measure humidity along with a small humidifier.

🤍 While I was nursing my illness, I escaped into a new book, finishing "How to Hold Someone in Your Heart." I absolutely love this genre where the author presents a normal world sprinkled with a bit of magic. It's about a young man in Tokyo who works in a carpentry shop, but he also has a volunteer job where he organizes meetings for the living and the dead. I'm eager for more translations from Mizuki Tsujimura because I've already read everything available in English!

🤍 In the previous book I bought in Abu Dhabi, I found some fun stickers. The local mounted police were handing them out to kids, and I had to grab one for myself too!

🤍 Meanwhile, my husband has flown off to a conference in Buenos Aires. I'm looking forward to some new merchandise!
