Job Applications and Autumn Adventures

Weekly Update

This week, I was actively applying for jobs. On ordinary days, I aim to send out at least five applications. I spent two days working on a test task for a company looking for a Marketing Trainee. It’s a niche brand of women’s lingerie, and I’m eagerly waiting for their feedback next week.

I also received an invitation for a screening from a marketing agency. At first, I was thrilled, but then I checked their Glassdoor rating—1.5. I decided to attend the call for practice anyway, and it turned out to be a webinar for me and a few dozen others. The vibe felt a bit like a scam pyramid scheme, reminiscent of early 2000s Oriflame sales. I left the call, yet they continue to bombard me with emails asking me to keep interviewing with them.

Other than that, there aren't many news updates—just enjoying our first autumn here!

Due to frequent rain, planning tennis has become a bit more challenging. Now, whenever the sun shines, we make an effort to go play, take a stroll, or ride bikes with Lucy—she looks adorable in her lime green basket.

I also baked a charlotte for the first time in the Air Fryer. Can you believe that in six months of living in our apartment, we’ve only used the oven once for pizza?

McDonald's has started their monopoly campaign with those tear-off stickers that I haven't seen since my last visit to Russia in 2019. I wish I could say I won't be collecting them, but…

P.S. The bird on the boat is alive! It's a cormorant drying its wings.
