Kebab Spot Magic With Baby Lucy

My husband has a favorite kebab spot right under our house, run by some friendly folks who might be Turkish or Bulgarian. It's always busy with around five staff members bustling about.

The workers adore my husband so much that they wave to us from the window whenever we pass by. I love this place not just for the delicious kebabs but also for the incredible cleanliness they maintain!

Yesterday, we visited together with our baby Lucy in my arms. Every time we walk in, the guys take a collective breath and exclaim, "What a beauty!" But then they quickly get back to work, as it’s quite busy even at 10 PM.

However, one of the guys just couldn’t take his eyes off Lucy. I could tell that English wasn’t his first language, and he was running out of compliments. By that point, Lucy had already been called beautiful, cute, funny, and he even asked for her name. A little pause hung in the air, but I could see the admiration in his eyes.

After a few seconds, he paused from taking orders, opened his arms wide, and said:

— Lucy, I can’t take my eyes off you 🥹

I've never seen anyone dote on Lucy like that! I spent the whole evening humming, “You’re just too good to be true.”
