Weekly Updates
💚 During my evening walks, I count how many foxes I encounter. Last week, I broke our record—seven in total! The UK is one of the few countries officially free from rabies, with the last recorded case of a wild animal infected back in 1902. So, even if a fox does bite you, they're not going to give you forty shots in the stomach.
💚 We also discovered a fantastic spot in the park for watching bats. It was the first time I heard the strange clicking sounds they make. Lucy was completely shocked, watching them with us.
💚 I received a rejection from a food delivery service. I was a bit disappointed because I thought I had surely passed the first screening stage. Maybe I shouldn’t have been so honest in certain moments. On the bright side, I received a message from HR about another position—they’re looking for a Marketing Associate for a well-known fitness tracker. They mentioned receiving 700 applications and that they'd get back to me as soon as they sorted through it all.
💚 A day before we left, I discovered that Lucy had been jumping up to the windowsill to eat the cats' food. I caught her in the act! I have no idea how long she’s been doing this, but we decided to move the bowls during our vacation. 😊
💚 And the biggest news of the week—we made it to Turkey! We're relaxing far from civilization in a bungalow. The nature here is simply breathtaking. The beach is nestled right in the mountains, and the Lycian Way trails are just behind us. All the pets stayed at home, just the three of them. I'll share more about how we manage with two cats and a dog later!
