New Apartment Adventures and Discoveries

Weekly News

💗 I can hardly believe I’m writing this—we’ve got an apartment! I mentioned it earlier. All the pets have been approved, and we’ve agreed on the move-in date. We’re actively working on the paperwork and are set to move in at the end of March! Honestly, after the exhausting search, it feels surreal, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. Here’s a photo of our future home!

💗 I found an amazing heart-shaped coffee table on the street. Some kindhearted people left it by their house. It’s going to be a perfect addition to our new apartment! I’m planning to restore it next week and have already bought all the materials. Last year I rescued an orchid from the trash, and this time, it’s a table. It really feels like I’m approaching my thirties!

💗 We saw an unusual sight— a horse-drawn funeral carriage. Apparently, anyone can request one for a ceremonial send-off. When my time comes, I’d love a memorial bench in Hampstead and a carriage just like that. My poor husband—I’ll manage to spend a fortune even in the afterlife!

💗 We finally checked out the Parkland Walk, a scenic route that follows an old railway. For some reason, I used to think it wouldn’t be great, but it’s actually wonderful! Just a heads up, a small part of the route is closed until March 31st. The creature poking out of the brick wall is a spriggan, a mythical being from Cornish folklore.

💗 Over the weekend, I suggested we visit a museum that my husband would enjoy. That’s how we ended up at the Royal Air Force Museum! Honestly, it seemed like we were the only ones there without children, aside from the artists. The space is enormous—six hangars filled with airplanes. Even those who aren’t particularly interested in aviation will find it captivating.

In short, we have a lot of exciting tasks ahead with the move!
